BLOOD DONATION EXCERCISE AT FOUNTAIN UNIVERSITY,OSOGBO,2023

         

               Fountain university,osogbo join hands in making world blood donor day,the department of public health made an arrangement of blood donor day like other schools has been doing which is not a new thing,they made arrangement for it spoke with the vice chancellor about it before carry it out, and the vice chancellor approved it and gave a go ahead about it.

       Health of the institution has implored students and lecturers to donate their blood to save lives of the dying ones in the hospital and every other places all over the word just to save the lives of the dyings ones,to healp them and pass it out and to who have compatible blood groups to help them save theirlives has it has always been for a while now for those who can donate should donate and for those who should not.The dean of college of basic medical and heaalth science,Dr M.D adeoye,said blood donation is optional,for those who donate should be donated and for those who cant donate its still good, that donating of blood is not meant for harm its the use to save the dying ones lives.act of slidarity ,june 14 has been set aside by the world helth organisation(WHO) to donate blood to save peoples live 

       Raise awareness to the need to donate blood.she thank to those who donate their blood willingly that shes greateful to those who donated blood willingly to save other peoples lives.the department that organised the campaign of donation excercise in collaboration with National association of public health student are also grateful about it.association of public health sudent NAPHS and college of basic medical and health sciences.

        COBHEMS fountain university.did this cause that how it done in other schools and many other places,deputy director,blood bank UNIOSUN teaching hosital mrs yemisi abirishade who spoke on tuesday at blood donation and campaighn exercise said a donir can donate every 56 days according to WHO standard that its not hurtful that yo can donate for 56 days acording to WHO which means its a facts new.

          She said, this is not applicable to us in this part of te world as we donate one pint from a person and imagine how a pint is important and for example in fountain university like 100 plus studemt van donate 1 pint of blood according to the WHO and its not harmful for anybody.also a man can donate four times in ayear whilst a woman can donate three times in ayear just to save souls and the dying ones from dying  accroding to WHO.

        Also a lecturer of the instutution of fountain university say its not against the will of islam to donate blood, he added that islam came to protect life and can/would do anythinh to save life of the dying ones,life is obtainable in islam.after the progam 85 people donated their blood within the university premises to save live you can see how encouraging it is from the student, proud that the WHO organisation would be proud also.
