THE 2023, BLOOD DONATION EXERCISE AT FOUNTAIN UNIVERSITY, OSOSGBO

Fountain university, Osogbo joins the marking blood donor day, the department of Public Health of the institution has implored students and lecturers of the university to donate their blood so as to save lives. The Dean College of Basic Medical and health Sciences (COMAS), Dr M.D Adeoye, made mention that blood donation is an act of solidarity, June 14 has been set aside by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to raise awareness to the need to donate blood and She thank those who donate their blood willingly. The department also organized the campaign and donation exercise in collaboration with National Association of Public Health Students (NAPHS) and college of Basic Medical and Health Sciences (COBHEMS) Fountain University. The Deputy Director Blood Bank of the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Mrs Yemisi Aborishade who spoke on Tuesday at the blood donation campaign exercise said donor can donate every 56 days according to WHO standard.
